Everton have been linked to a number of managers over the last few seasons.
Since Carlo Ancelotti’s departure in 2021, The Toffees have been on a slippery slope down the Premier League.
They’ve had to contend with a number of relegation battles and that’s resulted in the sacking of Rafael Benitez and Frank Lampard.
Sean Dyche has recently come under fire too and Everton fans have urged the club to sack him in recent weeks.
With all that going on, naturally, Everton have been in contact with a number of managers willing to take the reigns at Goodison Park.
And, one who they snubbed for the job is now set to replace Gary O’Neil at Wolves following his sacking.

Wolves working on deal to appoint Vitor Pereira after Everton snub
Everton were close to appointing Vitor Periera as Rafael Benitez’s replacement in January 2022 as he emerged as Farhad Moshiri’s preferred choice, however, the deal failed to materialise.
“I was very, very close to signing for Everton,” Pereira told GiveMeSport.

“I was ready to start working there. I travelled over and stayed for one week. I had four meetings with the club, but in the end it was not to be.”
Everton ultimately decided to appoint Lampard, who steered the club clear of relegation before being sacked a year later.
Now, almost three years on, Pereira is set to achieve his Premier League dream with Wolves, as they work on a deal to appoint him.
Wolves are ready to activate his release clause at Al-Shabab.
Wolves appointing Pereira is good news for Everton
If Wolves do end up appointing Pereira, it’s actually really good news for Everton in their hunt for Dyche’s successor.
The Friedkin Group are set to sack Dyche in the new year, so they will be in the market for a new manager in the coming few weeks.
Graham Potter and Sergio Conceicao are among the Friedkin’s managerial targets, so they’re set to remain out of work and available.
West Ham have been eyeing Conceicao.
