Giants urged sell Arsenal target, Midfielder still in talks with Arsenal over deal,£85M transfer message sent

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…

ARSENAL have made barely any progress in talks over a new contract for Thomas Partey, despite the fact all parties have been in talks over a new deal for the past few months and the player being a big part of that Gunners side.

The Ghana international’s Gunners career has been plagued by injuries and he has constantly spent the time sitting on the bench, but he has been a big part of that Gunners side this summer and has been very impressive for Mikel Arteta.

However – he is out of contract at the end of the season and there is a chance for clubs to make an offer in the January window, and agree to sign the midfielder in the January window, which has left many wondering why Partey has not been signed up to a new contract.

Now – according to The Mirror. is still no closer to agreeing a new contract at Arsenal than he was at the beginning of the season – And he will still be at liberty to negotiate pre-contract agreements with overseas clubs from January 1.

As time ticks on, Arsenal face a growing risk of losing Partey for free. The 31-year-old is one of the highest earners at the Emirates Stadium, which may be causing difficulty in negotiations.

It seems that Arteta wants Partey to be part of ARSENAL future, it seems that he would like him to stay, but at the end of the day, clubs can contact Partey in the January window and offer him a contract that he cannot refuse.

He may stay until the summer window, and maybe Mikel Arteta already has a player that could replace Partey, this is one that many of us are very interested to see how it plays out.

But the longer this goes on, the more a deal will surely not happen.

RASHFORD BOOST

Manchester United have been urged to put a struggling Marcus Rashford “out of his misery” by Paul Parker amid talk of a potential sale in January, amid the reports that ARSENAL could be interested in a deal for the attacker in January.

Rashford has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons again this season and looks nothing like the player that netted 30 goals for Man United just a few seasons ago.

According to the Telegraph, United started welcoming bids for the 27-year-old last summer following a drastic loss of form, and are ready to let him leave the club when the January window opens up next month.

Speaking candidly in an interview with Betfred about Rashford’s struggles, Parker expressed disappointment over the England international’s apparent lack of consistency and leadership at a crucial stage in his career.

“Any other player, it would have been done and dusted by now,” he said. “It’s been going on for too long. Most other players would have been put out of their misery and one of the saddest things in football is seeing talent go to waste because the player can’t be bothered. That’s what’s happening with Marcus Rashford.”

He added: “He’s 27 now and you can’t keep switching it on and off. He can’t be called a kid. He’s supposed to be a mature player now that leads his teammates along the way, especially because he’s a local lad. If you ask him to lead the way, I believe three-year-olds wouldn’t even follow him at the moment.

‘There’s nothing about him that suggests he wants to be a footballer and a Manchester United player.”

Rashford is a quality player that needs a fresh start, but maybe a move away from the Premier League may be the best thing to do as a new league may give him a fresh energy about football.

GYOKERES MESSAGE SENT

Despite links with Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres, ARSENAL have been told to forget about him, as Former Premier League striker Troy Deeney has claimed he is NOT the man to fire the Gunners to the title.

Swede Gyokeres has been a major hit in Portugal since joining Sporting from Coventry in July 2023 and become one of the most dangerous strikers in World football, hitting 43 goals for the club last season, and he has already broken the 25 goal barrier this season

He was a player that ARSENAL were very heavily linked with signing during the summer window, but his massive asking price was a real problem for the Gunners, and in the end, the decision was not made to make a move for the striker.

But Gyokeres is one of a number of Sporting CP players who could leave the Portuguese club in the wake of Ruben Amorim’s departure, with Arsenal likely to chase the former Coventry striker once again.

However – Deeney has claimed he is NOT the man to fire the Gunners to the title – Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “You know when you say something the clip is going to come back in six months. I genuinely think he’s a good footballer, he works really hard, all of that.

“But I don’t think he’s a natural finisher. And again, everyone is going to pull up his goal record, I get that. But I don’t think he takes either of those two [Arsenal and Liverpool] to winning the Premier League. That’s just my opinion, and if he did, they’d have already bought him.”

Mikel Arteta knows adding a striker like Gyokeres to the side could bring that Premier League title back to the club – but the man is scoring goals in the Portuguese League and not the Premier League.

There is alot of hype around the player, but there is also alot of risk, so it will be interesting to see just who he joins.
