Fans have taken to social media to react after Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo was included in the starting lineup to face Brentford. The two west London clubs are set to face off at Stamford Bridge for their Premier League clash today (December 15).
Tosin Adarabioyo has hardly been used by Blues boss Enzo Maresca in the Premier League this season. He has started just three games, playing five matches in total in the competition.
The former Fulham defender has played more often in the Europa Conference League and other domestic competitions. He has started and completed seven matches for Chelsea - six on the continent and one in the EFL Cup.
The 27-year-old has been handed another Premier League start, his fourth of the season, and he will be under pressure to perform well. Fans have reacted to his inclusion with comments like these on social media platform X:

Chelsea boss speaks about the title race ahead of Premier League clash against Brentford
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has spoken about the Blues' position in the title race ahead of their upcoming match against Brentford. They currently sit in second place on the Premier League table, only five points behind league leaders Liverpool.
With the season nearing the halfway point, the Blues have been touted as surprise title challengers this season. However, Enzo Maresca has stressed that he isn't thinking about the long-term future. He said (via One Football):
"The good thing is that I like to think on the day by day, so in which moment something can change I don’t know, I don’t know. The main focus for me is, and it’s not something I say because I have to say that, it’s because I really think that, because it’s the only way to improve me and to improve the players, just to focus on what we can do better in terms of training sessions, improving players and improving the team."
"This is the only main focus for me. Then in which moment we can think of something different, I don’t know."
The manager has often insisted that Chelsea are not in the title race, but a win over Brentford will put them just two points behind Liverpool (having played a game more).
