Bruno Fernandes speaking after United's win at the Etihad
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes hailed "unstoppable" Amad after he added to the crisis currently engulfing Manchester City.
On the day that Ruben Amorim dumped Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from his squad, the young Ivory Coast winger came up trumps for his new boss, winning a penalty and scoring a late winner at the Etihad.
United skipper Fernandes scored the penalty his team-mate won after Josko Gvardiol have scored the opener in the first-half, a goal which looked set to give Pep Guardiola a much-needed victory when the clock hit 85 minutes.
But Amad came to the fore late on to turn the game on its head and give United a huge boost of their own, leaving Fernandes to declare: "He has been doing well, he has been doing great things and there is a still a lot to come from him. He showed again today, he is always alive. That is why he gets the penalty, why he gets the goal.

"He has been brilliant. When he is like this he is unstoppable. I just want him to keep working, that is what he has been doing. It is great what he did today but I am sure he can do this every week. We want this week in, week out. He is now getting his chances, deservedly."
Amad has been one of the shining lights of the current season for United and has really impressed Amorim with his work ethic since the Portuguese replaced Erik ten Hag.
He added: "We wanted to win this game. It was not easy. In the second half we pressed good, we wanted to win and we showed today that we can win any game.
"I want to thank god for this. Let's enjoy it today and look forward to the next game."
Amad was Manchester United's hero at the Etihad Stadium
United boss Amorim sought to praise predecessor Erik ten Hag and his No.2, Ruud van Nistelrooy, for the young Ivory Coast winger's development in the past 12 months. He said: "Erik and Ruud did a great job with him, we continue that. Really important.
The Portuguese has been really impressed with Amad, for his versatility and desire to play different roles, having now started at wing-back and as part of the front three for Amorim since his arrival. He added: "All the players fit in my system. If they want to be in it, if they are talented, every player can fit in this system."
On adapting to life under Amorim, Fernandes added: "It is a process, we know what he demands, what he wants. It doesn't matter what happens, we stick to what we do."
