Chelsea’s superb form continued on Sunday night with a victory against local rivals Brentford.
Chelsea recorded a 2-1 home win against Brentford in the Premier League, which takes them to within two points of division leaders Liverpool.
The Blues are on a seven-game winning streak across all competitions, which includes five consecutive successes in the league.
Marc Cucurella put the hosts in front at Stamford Bridge just before half-time with his header. Afterwards, Nicolas Jackson doubled Chelsea’s advantage in the 80th minute with his ninth goal of the season.
Bryan Mbuemo netted in the 90th minute for Brentford to set up a nervous finish, but Enzo Maresca’s side held on for maximum points.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media were blown away by the individual contribution of Moises Caicedo against Brentford.
The 23-year-old midfielder was instrumental on and off the ball to help his side grind out another three points. Like in recent weeks, his partnership with Enzo Fernandez in the centre of the park worked very effectively.
