Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou’s role remains precarious following a poor string of recent results that have significantly derailed the team’s chances of nailing down a top four berth in the Premier League come the end of the season. It has been slated that their displays for the remainder of December could prove decisive in deciding his future in north London.\

With that being said, Daniel Levy and his colleagues in the Tottenham boardroom have already started scouring for possible replacements and could be speaking with a crosstown rival soon in order to land their manager. The Independent has reported that the man in concern is Fulham boss Marco Silva, who has done brilliantly with the west Londoners this season.
The Cottagers find themselves in eighth place in the Premier League standings as the Christmas period approaches, with his side making an unforeseen push for the European places. In fact, a number of players have also thrived under Marco Silva recently, with more younger names emerging to the fore at Fulham than older ones since the start of the campaign.

Silva has great experience in the Premier League and would be a great candidate to lead Tottenham Hotspur sooner or later, especially keeping his development of younger players in mind. The Portuguese manager also employs a modern style of football and could bring about a much-needed change in energy at the club if he were to be appointed.

And while a case could be written in favour of Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham are reaching a breaking off point with the Australian. There seems to be an air of mutual unhappiness, which could culminate in a parting of ways some time soon. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if Fulham are ready to let go of their manager midway through the season, especially to a fellow English rival.
