'Like someone who's playing Soccer Aid': Tim Sherwood baffled by Chelsea player after seeing him v Brentford

Chelsea beat Brentford to continue their good form but Tim Sherwood has been left a touch confused by the performance of one Blues star.

Enzo Maresca’s side were good value for the win and had goals from Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson to thank for the three points.

For Chelsea, it was another important win, especially with all of Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal dropping points this weekend.

However, while they got the win and Nicolas Jackson got another goal, former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood has admitted to being a bit perplexed by the striker’s contributions.

Tim Sherwood confused by Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson

Speaking about Jackson for Premier League productions, Sherwood admitted he’s almost confused by the striker and compared him to someone who’s not a pro playing in Soccer Aid.

“Since I’ve seen Nicolas Jackson, he’s so unpredictable,” Sherwood said.

“At times he looks like someone who’s playing soccer aid who’s not a footballer, but all of a sudden he turns it on. He’s such a threat, because he tries to get in behind. He doesn’t mind if he misses chances because he knows there’s more to come.”

Jackson is growing at Chelsea

While Sherwood makes a valid point and it’s a bit tongue-in-cheek about the Soccer Aid part, Nicolas Jackson is slowly becoming a top Premier League striker.

It’s nine goals for the season for him now and he’s looking every bit worth the money Chelsea paid.

If he can end the campaign with 20 goals, it will have been brilliant year for the forward and he’s only going to get better playing under Maresca.

Right now, Jackson is flying and in a way, that unpredictability makes him the player he is.
