Chelsea prepared to allow Chukwuemeka leave on loan in January amid Crystal Palace, Ipswich links

Chelsea are willing to let Carney Chukwuemeka leave the club in the January transfer window.Chelsea's London rivals,

According to [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-listen-transfer-offers-midfield-34316730?int_source=amp_continue_reading∫medium=amp∫campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target), the Blues are open to letting the talented midfielder and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leave the club on loan next month.

However, a possible loan deal for Chukwuemeka will hinge on the Stamford Bridge outfit's willingness to pay a part of his wages.

The 21-year-old earns high wages at Chelsea, which prevented him from leaving the West London side during the summer transfer window.

Crystal Palace are long-term admirers of the England youth international of Nigerian descent and were heavily linked with the midfielder during the summer transfer window, but a deal never materialized.

The likes of AC Milan, Celtic and Ipswich Town have also been credited with an interest in the Super Eagles-eligible players.

Chukwuemeka is down in Enzo Maresca's pecking order of midfielders and the decision of the Italian tactician to play with a double-pivot has hampered his game time.

He has only started one game this season, in the 3-1 win over FC Astana in the UEFA Europa Conference League last Thursday, and was replaced in the 67th minute by Harvey Hale.

Unsurprisingly, he was not in the matchday squad as Chelsea beat Brentford 2-1 at Stamford Bridge tonight to close the gap on table-toppers Liverpool.
