Bruno Fernandes is interviewed after the win over Manchester City.
Bruno Fernandes sparked an unlikely Manchester United comeback at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes praised his teammates' collective spirit after they staged a dramatic comeback to beat Manchester City 2-1 in Sunday's derby at the Etihad Stadium.
Trailing 1-0 with 87 minutes on the clock, United were given a golden opportunity to earn themselves a point when Amad was clattered inside the box by Matheus Nunes. Fernandes stepped up to take up the resulting penalty, bringing the scores level with two minutes of normal time left.
However, United went one better, scoring a second goal in the final minute of normal time when Lisandro Martinez's long ball was latched onto by Amad, who lifted the ball over Ederson and then finished to seal an unlikely victory.

It marked United's first win at the Etihad since March 2021 and Fernandes felt it stemmed from their refusal to roll over and accept defeat.
"Of course," Fernandes told MUTV when asked if it was important if United rose to the challenge collectively. "We always have to do it as a team.
"If the team believes, and even sometimes when we shake a little bit and we need one, two or three players to show that the belief is still there, we still have a chance of winning the game and still have a chance of getting a result.
"We always need that from the team because when you have that, then the energy comes up, you get chances, heads are lifted and you go again and you go again. That was what happened today."
Amad was United's hero, netting the late winner. His performances have been outstanding in recent weeks and Fernandes is delighted he is now getting the chance to prove his worth.
He added: "We are delighted for him because he has been really good. He is a really humble kid who has worked a lot since he arrived at the club.
"I have been here since he arrived and he is been trying to get his chances. In some moments he got it and then he went away for a loan in the Championship where he did brilliantly and I think some Sunderland fans still miss him.
"It is brilliant to have him on the team and now he is doing the right things and getting his chances, getting his goals. But everyone is important and everyone is going to be involved in games as the manager has shown.
"Everyone is part of this team and everyone is going to get their time to play and show themselves. Every time they step on the pitch they have to show that is why they play for Man United."
