Chelsea played their first Premier League game of the season where they were actually facing a real pile up of injuries.
As well as Pedro Neto’s suspension, the Blues were without the likes of Romeo Lavia, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile and Mykhailo Mudryk, as well as long-term absentees Reece James and Wesley Fofana.
Of those players, Lavia is the one who has really established himself as an important player in the Premier League side this season.
His impressive performances have seen Moises Caicedo shifted to play as a right-back at times, with Enzo Maresca hinting he could play Caicedo in defence more often in the future.

Romeo Lavia expected to return for next Chelsea game
The Ecuador international was absolutely brilliant in the middle of the park in their 2-1 win over Brentford, although Lavia was undoubtedly a big miss.
The youngster has had a rough time of things with injuries since making the move to Stamford Bridge, and every time he misses a game there will be worries that it could be long-term.
However, Kieran Gill has claimed that Chelsea are hopeful he will be back for their next league game against Everton.

Any players returning for the game away against Everton will be big, with Chelsea having a chance to temporarily go top of the Premier League.
Marc Cucurella is one player who will certainly not be available for selection after he was sent off after the final whistle at Stamford Bridge.
He is likely to be replaced by Renato Veiga, who has enjoyed a very impressive start to life since making the move to Chelsea.
One less full-back available could encourage Maresca to move Caicedo back there again, assuming Lavia is ready to return to the starting side.
