Cole Palmer suspension on horizon - which game would Chelsea star miss?

Aside from a bad injury, Chelsea Football Club losing Cole Palmer for any length of time or reason is potentially season derailing. The Blues playmaker and goalscorer extraordinaire has once again taken the Premier League by storm. During his 'difficult second season', the England international is setting pace in the division in multiple ways.

But is it likely that the former Manchester City up-and-comer may be sidelined for any games during the current busy festive campaign? Does the attacker have a possible suspension on the horizon? Which games would CFC superstar miss if he did pick up enough cards? And could the west London outfit survive and sustain near the EPL summit without their prized asset?

In addition to offering our view on those matters, PoL also speak on another Blues story doing the rounds. As we await the visit of fellow English capital team Brentford to Stamford Bridge, there is something else to examine. We look at what Bees manager Thomas Frank said about Sunday's match with CFC. The Dane is expecting an interesting contest this weekend. So what did the the Gtech Community Stadium gaffer say exactly?

Frank was extremely complimentary of Blues boss Enzo Maresca and the team as a whole. In fact, the former believes Chels are arguably the best performing side in the top flight at the moment. Wow.

Furthermore, the Danish boss suggested Chelsea's attack is particularly potent. He added that the Blues are clear favourites for their fixture. And that he predicts a very awkward and testing encounter for his men.

At present, there are a pair of Blues dangerously on four yellow cards: Nicolas Jackson and Robert Sanchez. Although, a prominent quintet are also close to respective bans. Surely Chels would be victorious versus Crystal Palace (after Ipswich Town) without one or two men?

"In a nightmare scenario, Maresca could end up losing some big names. Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia and Noni Madueke are all on three yellow cards, meaning two more before the Ipswich game (December 30) would see them miss one game due to suspension."
