Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko.
It is no secret that Newcastle United are chasing a right-sided attacker to strengthen their attack. Yankuba Minteh, who arrived as a prospect, is the only right-winger signed since the Saudi-backed takeover.
He was sold to Brighton in the summer to combat FFP/PSR pressures - leaving Jacob Murphy and Miguel Almiron as the first-team options. Murphy bagged a brace in the 4-0 win over Leicester City but question marks remain about his long-term qualities.
Various outlets claim Newcastle are considering an approach for PSV sensation Bakayoko. The 21-year-old has five goals and an assist from 14 Eredivisie games this season to help the Dutch giants open up a six-point lead at the top of the table.

However, GiveMeSport claim Liverpool have entered the race despite a plethora of attacking players. Mohamed Salah’s future remains in the balance and the Reds may need to think about life beyond their talismanic Egyptian.

“Becoming a champion is what I want. And win the Champions League. I have the qualities for that.”
