Alan Myers claims that the Everton takeover could be completed by Wednesday, 18 December.
The Sky Sports news editor was asked on X when things will be official as the Premier League have already greenlit The Friedkin Group’s claim to buy the club.
While the approval was given ahead of the Arsenal game, the Americans would not be in attendance at the Emirates Stadium on 15 December.
Myers responded, when asked if 18 December was the date: “Could be.”

The Goodison Park faithful surely will have high expectations for the new ownership in the coming months.

They will anticipate swift action in the transfer market, possibly seeing new signings to bolster the squad, aiming for a stronger position in the Premier League and perhaps even pushing for a top-half finish.
Infrastructure improvements, particularly around the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, will be a priority, with fans hoping for updates and progress reports.
Financially, supporters have every right to expect a more stable and transparent approach, moving away from the financial turmoil of recent years.
