Chelsea cut the gap to just two points between them and Liverpool following a hard-fought derby win at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues beat Brentford 2-1 last night thanks to goals from Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson, as they survived a scare late on to hold on to all three points.
Enzo Maresca insisted that Chelsea were still not in a title race, however it is hard to argue against it at the moment as they continue to put the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the table.

Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella wowed by Enzo Fernandez
A few sensational individual performances helped the Blues over the line last night, with Moises Caicedo impressing greatly yet again in the middle of the park.
He was joined with superb displays in midfield by Enzo Fernandez, who continued his run of contributing to goals with another assist for the second goal.
The World Cup winner is on a fantastic run at Stamford Bridge. Ally McCoist described Fernandez as ‘excellent’ recently.
A string of top performances seems to have not gone unnoticed by some of his teammates as well.
Caicedo and Cucurella both took to Instagram to praise Fernandez for his performance last night, with the feel good factor being more than there in West London right now.

There was a brief period of time where the Argentine had been dropped from the Premier League side, with Maresca favouring a pairing of Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
However, he has responded to this moment in the absolute perfect way, and now looks one of the first names on the teamsheet at Stamford Bridge in what is a very important run of fixtures for the club.
