There’s only a couple of weeks to go until the January transfer window and Leicester City are bound to do some business.
The Foxes are 17th in the Premier League table at the time of writing and are under new management after Ruud van Nistelrooy replaced Steve Cooper in November.
Van Nistelrooy has stressed that he won’t make wholesale changes but there will be an eye towards the future as Leicester try to preserve their top-flight status.
January is notoriously hard to do business in, but with some players approaching the final six months of their contract, the chance to do a cut-price deal shouldn’t be ignored.
So, with that, here are three players that the Foxes should target who are out of contract in 2025.

Sergio Reguilon – Tottenham Hotspur
A left-back is reportedly on Leicester’s shopping list in January and Sergio Reguilon isn’t the worst option by any means.
Once touted to be Spain’s first choice full-back, Reguilon has lost his way at Tottenham Hotspur and isn’t expected to be part of their plans going forward.

He would provide solid competition for Victor Kristiansen, who only has Luke Thomas to challenge him for a spot and would suit Van Nistelrooy’s style of play.

Reguilon, 28, would still have a lot to give and even though his wages could prove to be a bit of a problem, Tottenham would more than likely just want him off the books and he could revive his career at the King Power Stadium.
Callum Wilson – Newcastle United
A striker is a position that many Leicester fans are craving for and Callum Wilson could fit the bill.
With Alexander Isak the main man at St James’ Park, game time is hard to come by for Wilson, but his goalscoring record needs no introduction.
Wilson has 48 goals from 112 games for Newcastle and goals is something that the Foxes have lacked outside of Jamie Vardy this season.
The England international is also from the east midlands and a move closer to home may seem appealing in the latter stages of his career.
But, injuries have plagued Wilson throughout his career and the 32-year-old may not be worth taking a risk on.
Oliver Boscagli – PSV
Oliver Boscagli is a key member of the PSV Eindhoven defence but is yet to agree terms on a new deal.
The Monaco-born defender can play at centre-back and left-back and has been monitored by the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as Inter Milan.
He would almost certainly come in as a first-choice option at the King Power Stadium and having worked under Van Nistelrooy before, would know exactly what’s expected of him.

Boscagli also has 11 goals in over 100 appearances at the Dutch giants and could be a huge asset both at the back and in attack.
