Real Madrid players finally can enjoy a short break from the hectic calendar later this month after the La Liga clash against Sevilla. For the management, however, it will be far from peaceful.
With the squad riddled with injuries from the first match-day, Carlo Ancelotti has had to suffer with limited squad options and has been largely unable to rotate his team.
Given the hectic schedule that is yet to come, they hope for change in January and the possibility of making new signings is not ruled out.
Meeting scheduled
As relayed in a recent update by SPORT, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, the general manager Jose Angel Sanchez and the footballing director Santiago Solari are set to hold a meeting with Ancelotti later this month to discuss the topic in question.

The meeting is scheduled to take place after the game against Sevilla so that the administration can understand the requirements of the management and aid where possible.
After all, Ancelotti has not been able to count on a fully fit squad even once this season and has seen an average of 4.2 injured players at any point in time.
Considering that the players in question are regular starters like Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga and that two bonafide mainstays in Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal are ruled out for the season, the situation is an emergency.
With no options to choose off the bench, he has been forced to stick with the same lineup largely and there is hope that something will change after the meeting.
Should something positive come out of it, Los Blancos can hope for reinforcements in certain critical positions including the centre-forward position, the midfield and the central defence. The right-back, needless to say, is also a top priority.
