Chelsea legend Joe Cole has been discussing who has been the Premier League’s manager of the season so far.
Arne Slot and Enzo Maresca have been the two standout coaches in England, with Liverpool and Chelsea sitting first and second respectively.
The latter managed to close the gap with the former to just two points following their 2-1 win against Brentford on Sunday.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank is confident Chelsea can challenge for the title, though Maresca thinks otherwise.

Joe Cole claims Enzo Maresca has been manager of the season so far
The fact that Chelsea are even in the conversation about the title shows just what a fantastic job Maresca has done.
Cole now thinks that the 44-year-old has been the Premier League’s manager of the season so far.
Speaking on TNT Sports, after Chelsea’s win against Brentford, the former England international said: “It’s looking great! I think Enzo Maresca’s so far manager of the season. What he had to contend with at the start. We were talking to him, remember at West Ham, and he was like talking about the 30-odd players he’s got and trying to manage the squad.

“A lot of question marks on the recruitment and since maybe sort of late September, it’s just been an upward curve.”
Cole has also been complimentary of Marc Guiu, praising the young striker for his performance in Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Astana in the Conference League.
Joe Cole in love with Chelsea’s midfield
Cole has also been discussing Chelsea’s midfield on TNT Sports, with Maresca possessing Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia.
“The midfield, Caicedo, Enzo, Lavia, [Cole] Palmer, three of the four in there is just dominating most games,” the Chelsea legend added.
Lavia was absent for Chelsea’s triumph over Brentford, but Caicedo and Fernandez both started the game and were excellent once again.
Fernandez contributed to yet another goal, setting up Nicolas Jackson with a terrific through ball, while Caicedo was literally everywhere.
The Ecuadorian finished the match having made four interceptions, more than any other player.
His passing was not too bad either. Jason Cundy described one of Caicedo’s balls as “brilliant”, with it creating a chance for Jackson in the first half. Right now, there is probably not a better midfield in the Premier League.
