‘I don’t find a solution’ – Guardiola says he's ‘not good enough’ after Manchester derby loss

The loss came on the back of Saturday's 3-3 draw for Real Madrid at Rayo Vallecano, meaning both Real (37 points) and Atletico Madrid (38) can move clear of Barcelona to top La Liga if they win their games in hand. Hansi Flick’s men have 38 points after 18 games played so far.

Sergio Gonzalez scored in the fourth minute to earn all three points, with the home side unable to find the back of the net.

Flick was not in the dugout after being suspended for two matches.

The defeat means Barcelona have failed to get a victory in five of their six most recent La Liga matches, earning just five points from 18 available.

Atletico visit Barcelona next week.

"It was a bad game, it's impossible to be happy," Pedri said after the defeat.

"I think we started the game half-asleep. We woke up and created chances, but we didn't have the spark we needed to get the goal.

"We have to be better in front of goal if we want to pick up points. We're on a bad run in the league, and we have to turn it around."

Barcelona beat Borussia Dortmund 3-2 last week in the UEFA Champions League, and Pedri wants to bring their European form into domestic football.

"We have had a lot of games in a row, but it's not an excuse, we have to finish with the same confidence we have done in the Champions League," he continued.

"If you don't score goals in football, it's impossible to win."

Barcelona’s problems may be compounded by a potential injury to Yamine Lamal, who suffered an ankle problem in the first half, though he was able to complete the majority of the match before being substituted.
