Dan Burn believes Carabao Cup heartbreak last year will stand Newcastle United in good stead as they prepare for the latter stages of the competition.
The Magpies face Brentford at St James’ Park on Wednesday looking to avenge a Premier League defeat 10 days ago. While the Bees have been lions at home, sitting top of the table, they are lambs on the road in 19th and were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea over the weekend.

“It is the games when you are up against the so-called lesser teams. That is the challenge, we need that same level of motivation - whether that's in the League Cup, FA Cup or Premier League."
