Dele Alli has endured a difficult few years.
Dele Alli was initially sidelined with a hamstring injury which required surgery in February 2023 during his season-long loan spell at Besiktas.
The former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker has been slowly recovering since and has faced multiple setbacks.
Earlier this month, Sean Dyche explained that Dele is really frustrated at his current situation as he remains a free agent following his Everton contract expiry.
He’s been assured that if he can prove his fitness, Everton will honour their word and award him with a new deal.
So when Dele was spotted in the stands at Como on the weekend, it came as quite a shock to many.
Como manager Cesc Fabregas has now explained his situation.

Cesc Fabregas explains Dele Alli situation
Como defeated Roma 2-0 last night as Dele Alli watched on from the stands.
Naturally, reporters quizzed manager Cesc Fabregas after the game to get the lowdown on why he was present.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Fabregas explained that Dele could train with Como after Christmas but made it clear that it would only be to get back into shape.
“I met him yesterday, I don’t want to talk about that today,” the 37-year-old said, via Alfredo Pedulla.
“There’s a chance he could train with us after Christmas, but only to get back into shape.”
Como would be a great move for Dele Alli
Whilst Fabregas noted that Dele would only be training with Como for fitness purposes, evidently there’s every chance he could impress enough to be rewarded with a contract.
And, if that were to happen, it’d be a really good move for the former Everton man, as Coma are very much a club on the rise.
The newly-promoted Italian outfit look well placed to remain in Serie A this season and having attracted Raphael Varane, Sergi Roberto and Nico Paz, amongst others last summer, clearly, they’re eager to push up the division.
