Euro giants now want to sign ‘quality’ West Ham star, key player under Lopetegui - report

West Ham United star Emerson Palmieri is reportedly attracting interest from Serie A giants Juventus.

The 30-year-old has been a key player for the Hammers this campaign. Manager Julen Lopetegui has started him in 14 Premier League matches, with two goal contributions to his name.

The left-back will miss West Ham’s away fixture against Bournemouth on Monday due to suspension, but it is clear Lopetegui rates him very highly.

According to Juvelive.it, Juventus are interested in bringing the ‘quality’ player to Italy.

The Old Lady have been struggling this campaign, and they want to add defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window.

The Italian giants have identified Emerson as an ideal option, as he boasts Serie A experience, having played for Roma between 2015 and 2018.

However, West Ham will likely not sanction an exit for a player who has been very important for them this season.

The 30-year-old has a contract at the London Stadium until 2026, with the club also having an option to extend it by another year.

Emerson joined the Irons in the summer of 2022, and he has gone on to make 97 appearances in all competitions, with nine goal contributions to his name.

West Ham have struggled this campaign, but the left-back has been largely impressive with his performances.

He has been averaging 2.5 tackles, 3.5 ball recoveries, 1.5 clearances and 0.8 interceptions per game in the English top-flight.
