Report: £30m star linked with sensational Leicester return

A former Leicester City star could be set for an emotional return to the King Power Stadium after it emerged that he will be available for transfer in January.

The transfer window opens in just a matter of weeks and Ruud van Nistelrooy will keep an eye on who is available with the hope of bringing in new recruits to boost their Premier League survival hopes.

Leicester could target players out of contract in 2025 in order to keep the cost down as the Foxes aim to comply with profit and sustainability rules.

One of those linked with a move in January is someone that will be very familiar to Leicester fans.

Leicester could re-sign Kiernan Dewsbury Hall in shock transfer

The Foxes are allegedly one of the clubs who have registered an interest in signing the midfielder, as well as Aston Villa.

Ben Chilwell is also set for a January move away too after playing one game all season and has been frozen out by the two-time European champion.

Enzo Maresca admits to Dewsbury-Hall Chelsea struggles

Under Maresca last season, Dewsbury-Hall was one of the Foxes’ best players in the Championship title-winning campaign.

Games played – 49

Goals – 12

Assists – 15

That hasn’t happened at Stamford Bridge as the Italian has preferred the likes of Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia and the Chelsea boss admits it’s been difficult for the 26-year-old to adjust to a bit-part role.

He said: “Kiernan was, at Leicester, the most important player.

“He moved to Chelsea to be one other player. You have to accept that. Probably at the beginning, you struggle to accept that. Now it’s getting better. Me as a manager, I am very happy with Kiernan, no doubt.

“But for sure for him, he has to continue to work, wait for the chance and take it, in the way he is doing in the Conference League. He is doing OK.”
