Chelsea have reportedly placed Axel Disasi on their January transfer list following his lack of involvement under Enzo Maresca.

The France defender played a key role during his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, but he has made just three Premier League appearances so far this season and an exit is now deemed a possibility.

Disasi has played every available minute of Chelsea’s Europa Conference League campaign, however the club are actively looking to offload him in January, according to Relevo and TBR Football.

The 26-year-old has been excluded from Chelsea’s Premier League matchday squad on seven occasions so far this season and West Ham United are reportedly eager to sign him on loan in January.

The Blues believe they have adequate defensive cover in the form of Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill, while youngster Josh Acheampong could be handed a more prominent role if Disasi departs.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of Chelsea’s most exciting academy prospects, but he was recently frozen out due to his reluctance to sign a new contract at the club.

Acheampong is still yet to agree fresh terms, however he made his first-team return against Astana in the Europa Conference League last week and Maresca has admitted that a new deal is close.

The England U19 international wants assurances over his pathway into the Chelsea first-team and offloading Disasi could help to convince Acheampong of his future place in the senior side at Stamford Bridge.
