Manchester United will meet neighbours Manchester City in the quarter-finals of this season’s Subway Women’s League Cup.
The draw took place live on the Barclays Women’s Super League’s official YouTube channel this afternoon. Betty Glover and former Everton and Manchester City forward Toni Duggan were tasked with conducting the draw.
Manchester United’s meeting with Manchester City is without doubt ‘The Tie of the Round’. Elsewhere in the draw, second tier Durham go to Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur play host to London rivals West Ham United while trophy-holders Arsenal travel to Brighton & Hove Albion.
In the semi-finals, Brighton & Hove Albion or Arsenal will play host to Manchester United or Manchester City while the other tie will see Chelsea or Durham face Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United.
The four quarter-final ties are scheduled to be staged on either Wednesday 22 January 2025 or Thursday 23 January 2025. It has been revealed that this season’s Women’s League Cup final will take place at Pride Park, home of Derby County FC on Saturday 15 March 2025.
