Chelsea winger Noni Madueke really impressed Frank Leboeuf after his performance against Brentford on Sunday.
Noni Madueke helped Chelsea to beat Brentford 2-1, setting up Marc Cucurella’s goal in the first half with a brilliant cross.
That win means the Blues are now just two points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank thinks Chelsea are one of the favourites to win the title this season.

Noni Madueke more direct for Chelsea
For Leboeuf, Madueke’s play against Brentford was very direct and has been for much of the campaign, something that the Chelsea legend is loving at the moment.
Discussing Madueke and Jadon Sancho on ESPN after the game, Leboeuf said: “Jadon Sancho? That’s not the Jadon Sancho we’ve seen lately. That’s a different guy! Madueke? Different person as well, more direct, simpler, I love that. I love everything!”
Sancho could have also had an assist on the night like Madueke. After an excellent bit of work down the left, the 24-year-old fired the ball into the box for Nicolas Jackson to convert, only for the striker to miss an empty net.

He managed to redeem himself, though, after scoring in the 80th minute. Jackson was confident that another chance would fall his way and it did.
Noni Madueke’s stats compared to last season
There has clearly been vast improvement in Madueke’s game this term. In the previous campaign, the 22-year-old scored five goals and provided two assists in 23 Premier League appearances.
This season, Madueke has already netted five times and managed to surpass his tally for assists after setting up Cucurella on Sunday.

All in all, it is not hard to see why Madueke is coming in for praise right now. He is improving and delivering for Chelsea after a pretty slow start to life at Stamford Bridge.
Another ESPN pundit, former USA international Janusz Michallik, has also been impressed with the England international.
Michallik spoke about Madueke after Chelsea’s 5-1 win against Southampton earlier this month, claiming that he has all the tools needed to thrive under manager Enzo Maresca.
