Arsenal'considering'making move for£58m striker in January and it's not Viktor Gyokeres

Dusan Vlahovic again showed how prolific he can be front of goal at the weekend after scoring for Juventus against Venezia.

The 24-year-old now has 11 goals and two assists for the Serie A side this season and that form has led him to be linked with a move to Arsenal once more. The Serbian was heavily linked with a move to Emirates Stadium when he was at Fiorentina but instead opted to join Juventus in January 2022.

Nearly three years on and the prolific striker could be on the move again, with the Gunners reportedly considering making a move for Vlahovic in the upcoming January transfer window. According to CaughtOffside, via Daily Mirror, Arsenal are ready to make a move for the striker and test Juventus' resolve.

The report claims Mikel Arteta sees Vlahovic as the perfect striker for his system to help the team finish off their chances. Kai Havertz has scored just one Premier League goal in two months while Gabriel Jesus has found the net just once all season.

Any move could cost the Gunners around €70million (£58million), according to the report, and it remains to be seen if the north Londoners would be willing to pay such a sum in the winter market.

Another striker the Gunners have been linked with heavily is Viktor Gyokeres. The 26-year-old has 26 goals in 24 appearances for Sporting CP this campaign and could be available for around £63million.

Arteta was asked about the club's January plans last week and he did not give much away, though. "I never expect January to be super busy but we have to wait and see where we are," the Spaniard said when asked about additions this winter.

"Some surprises can come. We are prepared for that. Some opportunities too. We have to see. Hopefully the availability of the squad will be better in a few weeks. We have to wait and see."
