Everton have their transfer priorities wrong ahead of January amid links to Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.
After TFG received approval from the Premier League ahead of their proposed takeover, attention rightfully turned to the January transfer window.
The Toffees will undoubtedly be looking to strengthen their squad to avoid a potential relegation battle but certain areas need to be a priority and centre-back isn’t one of them quite yet.
Caught Offside reported (16 December) that Everton could move for Lindelof and while it could be a shrewd signing, attacking reinforcements must be prioritised.
Everton priority emerges for January transfer window
The Toffees have had a wildly inconsistent season under Sean Dyche and much of that is down to their lack of threat in the final third.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Only Wolves have scored less than Everton this season having scored just 14 times in 15 Premier League encounters which should be of great concern at Goodison Park.
Several attacking players have failed to hit the standards required to win games with Dominic Calvert-Lewin among those underperforming.

Their defensive record is only bettered by one side outside of the top 10 and that should serve as a clear indication as to where they need to strengthen in January to avoid a relegation battle.
TFG have a huge task at hand to turn around the fortunes at Everton but it certainly isn’t something that can’t be achieved in the short term.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has shared when the takeover could be completed.
