For very long in the game, it looked like it was one of those nights for the Red Devils who kept knocking on the door repeatedly, but their final pass was found lacking. However, it was Amad’s persistence that resulted in both goals.
Man Utd are currently without a sporting director at the helm – with Dan Ashworth being let go just months after being appointed. However, the Red Devils are continually linked with new players in the transfer market.
Now, as per Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd want to sign Brighton & Hove Albion striker, Evan Ferguson as a replacement for Marcus Rashford. The latter is not having a good time at the club in recent times, even being left out of the squad for the derby.
The Seagulls starlet had an injury campaign last term and only scored six goals in fifteen league starts. This term, the 20-year-old has mainly warmed the bench under the new manager.
He has made eleven appearances in the PL thus far this term, started on two occasions and scored just a single goal.
On the other hand, Rashford has played decently well since Ruben Amorim was appointed as Man Utd manager. However, the Portuguese tactician decided to not call him up last night due to a multitude of reasons. We also recently covered a story revealing that the club was planning to move him on.
Rashford is a player who has come through the ranks at the club’s academy and fans have given him a lot of slack. However, the Englishman has failed to display any sort of consistency during his time here at Old Trafford.
It remains to be seen if Rashford can return and find relevance under Ruben Amorim. He will have to change his attitude to impress the Portuguese tactician and let’s wait and see how things play out.
In your view, is Evan Ferguson good enough to replace Marcus Rashford?
