With the January transfer window just around the corner, attention now turns to what Leicester City will do.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has been told he will have funds made available which could mean movement at the King Power Stadium.
It may provide the Foxes chance to sign players out of contract in the summer for cheap as well as address the future of those who may be in doubt.
Players may need to move on if a better calibre of player is to be brought to the east midlands and there is no doubt that one player should be heading for the exit door.

Leicester City should sell Luke Thomas in January
Several Leicester players’ contracts expire in the summer, meaning January is the last chance for the Foxes to gain any sort of transfer fee for them.
One of those with less than six months left on his deal is Luke Thomas.
The left-back, who came through the Leicester academy, has been a bit-part player at most this season.
Aside from his two Carabao Cup appearances, Thomas has only featured once but featured in Leicester’s 4-2 loss at Brentford.

Thomas made his debut for the club as a 19-year-old in July 2020 when the Foxes beat Sheffield United but has failed to hit the heights since then.
A loan move to the Blades was cut short midway through last season and he also failed to impress at Middlesbrough in the first half of 2024.
Any move wouldn’t command a huge fee, but some money is better than none.
Who would replace Luke Thomas at Leicester City?
If Leicester were to sanction a move away for Thomas then it would leave Leicester with a serious lack of options in the left-back role.
Victor Kristiansen is the only senior left-back option and although James Justin is capable of filling in, Ricardo Pereira’s long-term injury means he is unlikely to deputise there.
Japanese right-back Hiroki Sekine has been linked with Leicester, which could enable Justin to act as first-choice right-back, but cover on the left if required.
Alternatively, Jayden Joseph is a highly-rated member of the club’s academy and may be considered.
Joseph is tipped as one of the Leicester youngsters to impress in 2025 and he could be given the chance to do so if Thomas leaves.
