Women's euro 2025 finalists discover opponents

The draw for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 finals took place in Lusanne, Switzerland, this evening (Monday 16 December) as a number of our players learned their opponents for the competition.

Hosted by Switzerland, the tournament will pit 16 European nations against each other throughout July, with the showpiece final set to take place on 27 July at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

With the groups now decided for Euro 2025, here's a look at who of our players, whom have been capped by their senior national sides in the last 12 months, could face at the tournament.

**Group A**

-----------

Starting in Group A, we have three players which could potentially line up for their nations this summer.

A mini league made up of hosts Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Finland, we could see Luana Buhler of Switzerland going up against Eveliina Summanen and Olga Ahtinen of Finland.

The two sides will face each other in the final matchday of the group at Servette’s Stade de Geneve on 10 July, 2025.

Heading into Group B and there’s just one of our players which could feature in Switzerland.

Drawn into the second group of the European Championships were Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Italy which means we could see Maite Oroz of Spain in the tournament.

The midfielder was part of the La Roja squad that won the UEFA Women’s Nations League in 2024, with Maite scoring twice in the qualifying phase of the competition.

Into Group C and we have two players which could feature for us in this mini league.

A group consisting of Germany, Poland, Denmark and Sweden, it’s Amanda Nilden and Matilda Vinberg of Sweden who could appear for us here.

The Swedish duo will face Denmark in their opening game of the tournament followed by a contest against Poland in the second matchday before the final fixture of the group against Germany.

Group D

-------

We also have one player who could feature for us as we look at Group D.

The fourth and final group sees France, England, Wales and the Netherlands have been drawn together and Jess Naz will be looking to secure a spot at her first major tournament.

Making her senior international debut in July, 2024, the forward has earned four caps for the Lionesses, who are the reigning champions after winning the tournament on home soil in 2022, over the last couple of months.
