Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all said to be interested in completed a transfer for Marc Guehi.
Crystal Palace could play a key role in deciding the Premier League title race this season depending on the future of one first team star during the January transfer window with Chelsea and Liverpool locked in battle.
Eagles centre-back Marc Guehi was the subject of serious interest from Newcastle United this summer but a £60 million bid from Tyneside wasn't enough to tempt the London outfit to sell. Palace had already seen star man Michael Olise leave for Bayern Munich and fought hard to keep another key member of Oliver Glasner's side.
The 24-year-old has played every minute of the Premier League season so far, captaining the side and continues to turn heads. A fresh report this week suggests that it will be Liverpool and Chelsea who battle it out for his signature in the New Year.
The Sunday Mirror reports that despite summer resistance, Crystal Palace are open to letting Guehi leave in 2025. At the moment, it is not expected that the Eagles would sanction a January transfer but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea and Liverpool are patient enough to wait until the end of the current campaign.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca remains adamant that his Chelsea side are not in a title race this season, pointing to a late goal conceded against Brentford as the latest error that points to a side not on the same level as Liverpool. However, just two points separate Chelsea and league leaders Liverpool in the top flight.
Enzo Maresca adamant Chelsea are not in Premier League title race
On Monday night, Maresca said: "No matter how many games we are going to win, I think we’re not ready to compete for the title. One of the reasons is I think the team that knows how to compete to win titles will not concede a goal like we concede.
"On 90 minutes, a throw-in for us and we concede a goal. A team that knows how to win titles, that goal they’re not to going to concede. It’s why I continue to say that we are not ready for titles. Even if you don’t believe me.
"I would love the pressure to compete for the title. But we cannot concede the goal we concede and open the game and give them the chance to take a point here."

The Reds do have a game in hand after the Merseyside derby was postponed due to Storm Darragh. The acquisition of an experienced Premier League star such as Guehi could prove decisive over the second half of the season.
The fresh transfer report adds that Liverpool still face competition from the Magpies as well as Chelsea for Guehi, but that the club is aware of a potential financial predicament for Crystal Palace. Guehi's current contract is set to expire in 2026, which points to the £70 million fee demanded last summer dropping as the threat of the player leaving for free looms large.
