Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger was filmed bursting into laughter at Barcelona's defeat against Leganes on Saturday.

Hansi Flick's side blew the chance to go three points clear at the top of La Liga when they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat by relegation-battling Leganes.

Earlier on Saturday, Atletico Madrid continued their impeccable run of form by earning a hard-fought 1-0 win against Getafe.

The result saw Atletico leapfrog Real in the table, go level on points with Barcelona and put pressure on their rivals who were both playing evening matches.

As Rudiger walked off the field following Real's 3-3 draw with Rayo Vallecano, the former Chelsea man would surely have been downcast and contemplating two points dropped.

But his mood soon lifted when he was shown the Barcelona result on a phone, prompting the 31-year-old to break into hysterics of laughter.

As it stands, Carlo Ancelotti's side are just a point behind Barcelona and Atletico with the Catalan club having played a game more than their two rivals.

It has been a tough couple of months for Barcelona who have Barcelona's now dropped 13 points in their last six league games.

They suffered a further blow against Leganes when Lamine Yamal went off with an ankle injury and the 17-year-old superstar is now out of action until the new year.

The timing couldn't be worse with Barcelona hosting Atletico next Saturday in a mouthwatering top-of-the-table clash.

Real's next La Liga assignment, meanwhile, is at home against 11th-place Sevilla on Sunday.
