Arsenal have been linked to the winger alongside Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Arsenal have been linked to Barcelona winger Raphinha, who could be made available by the Spanish giants in the upcoming transfer window

Barcelona are currently in a state of financial difficulty, which means they may decide to offload a couple of players both in January and the summer transfer window, with Raphinha among the possible departures. The Gunners are looking to add an attacker in the January transfer window, with reports regularly linking them to signing a winger.

Raphinha has been at Barcelona for two years, after he left Leeds United for a fee of £48m following a spell in the Premier League with the Yorkshire-based side.

The Brazil international has since made 110 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 37 goals and providing 35 assists in what has been a relatively successful time at the Nou Camp.

According to the Boot Room, Arsenal could pursue a deal for the 28-year-old who they reportedly enquired about in the summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta’s side are in need of depth on the flanks with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard being the regular rotation of wingers.

Arsenal face Premier League competition to sign Raphinha

The Gunners aren’t the only Premier League side to have a reported interest in the Barcelona winger. The report states that Liverpool remain very keen on Raphinha and have identified him as a possible replacement for Mo Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Arne Slot’s side are currently in control of the title race, sitting six points above Arsenal and two ahead of Chelsea.
