[AFC Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham United](news_archive.php)
-------------------------------------------------------
Lucas Paqueta thought he'd secured a priceless win for his team and manager when netting from the penalty spot 86 minutes deep in this thoroughly entertaining Premier League meeting.
Yet less than two minutes after the Brazilian had ignored the congratulations of team mates in order to celebrate with Julen Lopetegui on the sideline instead, Konstantinos Mavropanos conceded an unnecessary free kick twenty five yards form goal - which, following some considerable delay, was expertly despatched into Lukasz Fabianski's exposed and unguarded right side by substitute Enes Unal. That goal, which secured a point for the Cherries and cost West Ham two follows last week's narrow win against rudderless Wolverhampton Wanderers which, in isolation, represents some improvement on Lopetegui's previously poor return following a summer of major financial investment. Yet the Head Coach will need to continue with a similarly impressive performance against early season high-flyers Brighton in Stratford this weekend - and a further increase to the points tally, which now stands at 19 from 16 played - in order to win over wavering fans, many of whom have grown increasingly frustrated at the lack of any clear, well-executed system or consistent game plan - some of which was evident tonight, at least. We'll have a full match report for you soon...
