Villa host City on Saturday with both teams looking to bounce back after blowing leads late on to lose 2-1 last weekend.
While the Premier League champions were stunned in the Manchester derby, Unai Emery’s men stumbled at Nottingham Forest but Cash is confident players will respond in positive fashion.
The right-back said: “You have to go to places like Forest and be strong and try and get three points. We didn't do enough to get that but we pick ourselves up and go again next week.
"Everyone is important. We have built a good team bond here and we have a strong squad with a fantastic manager. The challenge is to finish as high up as we can. We will go again and look to bounce back."
Villa are just two points behind City with the latter enduring comfortably their worst run under Pep Guardiola having lost eight of their last 11 matches in all competitions.
Saturday’s defeat at Forest ended a three-match winning streak for Villa, who have lost only once at home this season.
