It was a positive weekend for Everton fans who saw their side pick up an unexpected point on the road against Arsenal.
The Toffees did, however, see their cushion on the bottom three reduced by two points, with Ipswich Town picking up a win.
But there are more positives to take from recent days at Everton with The Friedkin Group expected to take over this week.
After well over a year of trying, it finally looks as if Farhad Moshiri is going to hand over the keys at Goodison Park.
It has been suggested The Friedkin Group received Premier League approval over the weekend to complete their takeover.
However, there was something which is said to have left them absolutely furious over recent days.

The Friedkins ‘furious’ despite Everton takeover development
Mikel Arteta criticised Everton’s approach to their game on the weekend, claiming his side deserved all three points.
And it seems as if the Friedkins were not pleased with how their other club, AS Roma, got on after losing against Serie A strugglers Como.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Sky Sports Italia reporter Angelo Mangiante admitted the owners of the Italian club were absolutely furious over their loss against Cesc Fabregas’ side.
‘Friedkin furious about tonight’s performance deemed unacceptable,’ he said on social media.
‘The ownership supports Ranieri 100%, but after two positive matches, with the last one won 3-0, they cannot accept a defeat like this.
‘Dan and Ryan Friedkin expect and will demand more consistency from the team. January will be a time of change. Some players need to go to change the mentality of the entire team. All options are on the table.’
Everton were forced to work extremely hard for their point on the weekend with Jordan Pickford even applauded by the Arsenal fans for some of his saves.
But some fans may have some concerns about the struggles the Friedkin’s Italian side are enduring as they sit slumped down in 12th spot of the table.
Roma are struggling under The Friedkin Group
Those close to The Friedkin Group are optimistic about completing their Everton takeover amid the speculation surrounding Premier League approval.
But they are set to arrive at Goodison with plenty of issues to resolve across their two clubs.
The Friedkins are expected to sack Sean Dyche in the New Year after they arrive at Everton as they look to put their own stamp on the club.
However, their recent appointment of Claudio Ranieri at Roma may not provide much optimism, given he has won just two of his six games.
It is going to be interesting to see how they are able to split their attention across two struggling sides in such big leagues.
