Manchester United are weighing up selling Marcus Rashford, yet the question over who will sign him is another matter entirely.
Marcus Rashford faces an uncertain future at Manchester United, after being axed from the squad for the Manchester derby.
Ruben Amorim insisted Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho will get fresh opportunities this week, yet rumours are persisting one will be sold.
The Guardian claim United have decided to try to cash in on Marcus Rashford in the January transfer window. And this is easier said than done.

PSG interest in Rashford fades
The club strongly connected with Marcus Rashford in recent seasons has been Paris Saint-Germain.
The Mirror claimed early in 2024 that PSG were considering a £75 million move for Rashford in the summer, as they faced up to the reality of losing Kylian Mbappe.
Their interest stemmed from Rashford’s agents holding talks with PSG back in 2022, The Telegraph reported, before the forward signed his lucrative contract extension at United.
United In Focus have been told via transfer insider Graeme Bailey that PSG currently have little appetite to pursue Rashford.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Bailey explained: “I am told Marcus Rashford is not the kind of player PSG are pursuing. He does not fit into the current strategy Luis Campos is leading at the club.”
Campos is playing a key role in guiding Luis Enrique’s project, one that focused on signing young stars like Joao Neves this past summer.
Even with PSG’s Kolo Muani linked with United, the possibility of a swap deal is thought to currently hold little appeal to the French club.
Rashford options thin
The big problem for Manchester United is the expense he would cost any club interested in his signature.
Bailey explains: “It is not just the transfer fee for Rashford, it is the combination with the wages he currently commands.”
Rashford, 27, is currently under contract at Manchester United until June 2028, another three-and-a-half seasons.
The academy graduate is one of United’s highest paid players, and a resolution is needed, one way or another.
An extreme option of selling Rashford to a Saudi Pro League club is unlikely to tempt the player.
