Everton were able to pick up a valuable point on the weekend after making the trip to north London to face Arsenal.
Sean Dyche’s side were certainly up against it going into the game and were forced to battle hard for their point.
Jordan Pickford’s efforts were championed by Arsenal fans who were left impressed by the Everton goalkeeper’s saves.
The draw has actually seen Everton drop down a place and the gap on the bottom three close, but it may prove a valuable point in the long run.
After the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hit out at Everton’s tactics with the Toffees not proving much of a threat at the other end of the pitch.
And Jarrad Branthwaite’s latest comments may not go down well with the former Everton midfielder.

What Jarrad Branthwaite said about Everton’s draw vs Arsenal
Going into the game, Paul Merson expected Everton to lose against Arsenal with the Gunners heavy favourites to seal the points.

However, the Toffees put in a resilient display which did see the Gunners pepper Pickford’s goal with plenty of shots.
Having withstood the Arsenal storm, Branthwaite admitted the point felt more like a victory for the Blues.
“I think it’s a massive point,” he told Everton TV. “It’s a tough game. We know how good of a side they are and I think we showed how good of a team we are as well.
“Coming down here and getting a point feels more like a win, because not many people come down here and pick up anything, so to do that is massive and it’ll take us on to the next games.
“Obviously, it’s really pleasing to get another clean sheet. You give yourself the best possible chance in games when you do that.”
Gary Lineker championed Pickford’s display against Arsenal as the England number one kept Everton in the game.
But these comments from Branthwaite are unlikely to go down well with the already frustrated Arsenal boss.
Mikel Arteta was furious with Everton’s lack of attacking intent
During the 90 minutes, Everton were only able to attempt two shots with neither landing on David Raya’s goal.
Sean Dyche was delighted with his Everton players and the effort they showed against the Gunners on the weekend.
But Arteta attacked Everton for not traveling to one of the Premier League’s top sides are going all out for the win.
And it was a showing which will not have done the 53-year-old’s position at the club any harm with the Friedkin’s expected to sack Dyche after landing on Merseyside.
It does not get any easier for Everton who are now set to face the red-hot Chelsea in their final outing before Christmas.
