;Remarkable': Thierry Henry says'amazing'Chelsea player is on his way to becoming the real deal

Chelsea have been going about their business in an efficient style this season, and this has been impressing numerous pundits and figures in the game along the way.

After beating Brentford at the weekend, Thomas Frank insisted the Blues are in a title race this season, with them currently sat second in the league behind the leaders Liverpool.

Enzo Maresca has been keen to tell everyone a serious title charge is not possible right now, however that has not stopped them earning the opportunity to momentarily top the tree if they win on Sunday against Everton.

Their improvement in standings in comparison to last season is down to a number of individual players simply playing at a much higher level than they were 12 months ago. Cole Palmer is even threatening to somehow put up better numbers than last season.

The England international has maintained his strong relationship in attack with Nicolas Jackson, with few strikers in the Premier League enjoying a better campaign so far than him.

Thierry Henry says Nicolas Jackson is becoming ‘the real deal’

It is easy for Chelsea fans to compare their strikers to some of the greats of the past. Jason Cundy said he was reminded of Didier Drogba by Jackson in the win over Brentford.

One person who knows a thing or two about being a Premier League striker is Thierry Henry, and he is another figure who has been very impressed by Jackson.

The Frenchman told Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football that he believes the Senegal international is on his way to becoming the real deal.

“He’s on his way to being that [the real deal] but it’s a long road. One thing that is difficult when you play for a club like Chelsea and teams who are at the top is that you get compared to who was there before.

“And maybe you’re not the same kind of striker, you’re a different striker, but you’re going to get compared to Drogba

“I do think that what they’re doing is remarkable and we were saying before the show, I’m not having a go at the Conference League but they’re playing a different team there, they’re really focusing on the league and that is a massive plus.”

Nicolas Jackson stats 24/25

Jackson has been a near ever-present in the league so far this season, with the numbers he is putting up in front of goal proving exactly why.

His brilliance has left Christopher Nkunku to scrap for his minutes off the bench when it comes to domestic football, despite him actually being the club’s top scorer in all competitions.

Noni Madueke hinted he believes Jackson is the best striker in the league, and few would say he is far off following an excellent first half of the season so far.
