Sean Dyche’s future at Everton is set to be decided as Dan Friedkin’s new directors and executive team prepare to start work immediately, according to iNews.
The outlet reported on 17 December that Friedkin has already lined up new directors at Goodison Park, with a new executive team set to be announced “shortly” as the American’s takeover nears completion.
That team of executives will be made up of figures identified during the interregnum period since Friedkin’s takeover was first announced in principle back in late September.
Both Dyche and the Toffees’ director of football Kevin Thelwell are out of contract at season’s end, and the club’s new executive team will decide the short and long-term futures of both figures on Merseyside.

A new era beckons on the blue half of Merseyside, and with it will come mass changes both on and off the field, as well as in the managerial dugouts at Goodison Park.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Dyche’s future has been called into question for months on end as his Toffees side fight Premier League relegation for the fourth season running, with some heavy defeats already inflicted so far this term.

However, given Dyche kept the club up despite two points deductions in the last campaign, Friedkin may be inclined to allow the 53-year-old to at least see out the rest of his contract until mid-2025.
Next summer will also bring about arguably the biggest change in the club’s history as they move from Goodison to their new Bramley-Moore Dock home, making this campaign key to facilitate the transition.
Friedkin has hardly refrained from disposing of managers at Roma, but with Dyche’s sole goal being to keep things under control at Everton until 2025, the club’s incoming executive team would be advised not to rush into a hasty decision.
