Eden Hazard and Dennis Bergkamp are arguably two of the most technically gifted players the Premier League has ever seen.
Eden Hazard, during his time at Chelsea had a case for being the best player in the league in the past decade.
Tammy Abraham hailed Eden Hazard as a “different animal” and the best player he has ever played with.
As for Dennis Bergkamp, he was simply a phenomenon and a case could be put forth that no player has had as significant an impact on Arsenal in the entirety of their history.
So much so that Lee Dixon’s bold claim about Bergkamp is that he was a superior player to Thierry Henry.
When ranking the greatest forwards to have ever played in the Premier League, Jamie Carragher felt Eden Hazard was better than Dennis Bergkamp.

Eden Hazard told he was better than Dennis Bergkamp
One of Carragher’s two reasons on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football were that that in his view, Chelsea legend Eden Hazard was the protagonist of his team longer than Bergkamp was for Arsenal.
Secondly, the pundit claimed that the Belgian was the standout player in two of the Blues’ title-winning teams in 2015 and 2017, which he does not feel was the case with the Dutchman.
“When Bergkamp came in, mid 90s, when Arsenal came back to becoming a team competing for titles, so ’97/98, Dennis Bergkamp is the best player in the league and Arsenal win the double.”
“And then Arsenal have a few years and then Thierry [Henry] comes and a new team is formed. But for me, Eden Hazard won Player of the Year twice and took Chelsea to the title twice and I think for a two or three period there, he was the best player in the Premier League.”
Jamie Carragher added: “The reason I would put him above Bergkamp, I think is the fact that he was the main man in that team. I think Bergkamp was for a season but then this guy [Thierry Henry] came along when they started winning trophies again in 2002.”
“He was the best player in the team winning the title for longer than Bergkamp was the best player in his team.”
Eden Hazard vs Dennis Bergkamp’s Premier League careers
Some might disagree with Jamie Carragher’s view, considering the Arsenal icon was a once-in-a-lifetime player.
Both players’ respective Premier League careers exemplify how outstanding they were on English shores.

Based on the statistics and their respective title triumphs, many would side with Dennis Bergkamp as having the better Premier League spell.
However, Hazard also won the Premier League Player of the Season award in 2015 while in Chelsea’s title win in 2017, one could argue he outperformed N’Golo Kante, who won the accolade.
Chelsea and Arsenal supporters will likely go back and forth over which player was superior as both figures are not just Premier League icons but legends of the game.
