Alan Curbishley kicked-off his reign as West Ham United manager with a sensational 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester United on this day in 2006.
The former Hammers midfielder had replaced Alan Pardew with his old club struggling near the bottom of the table, but the form book was thrown out of the proverbial window on a memorable evening under the Boleyn Ground floodlights.
Nigel Reo-Coker was the match-winner. Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham found Marlon Harewood, who pulled the ball back from the byline for the on-rushing midfielder to finish past Edwin van der Sar at the near post.
West Ham of course went on to pull off a great escape from relegation, completing a league double over the champions with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford on the final day of the 2006/07 campaign.
