The Turkish striker received the ‘Web Golden Boy Award’ in Turin on Monday night, voted by readers of Tuttosport.com, the newspaper that organises the Golden Boy Award every year.

“I’m very happy for this award. Thanks to all the fans who did this for me,” Yildiz told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s a nice feeling. I always try to give my best and improve.”

Juventus have collected inconsistent results under Thiago Motta this season, and the last week mirrored their lack of consistency.

They first beat Premier League giants Manchester City 2-0 in the Champions League before collecting a disappointing 2-2 draw against Serie A strugglers Venezia just three days later.

“Nothing changes. We must be focused on all games, but this is football, and we must work every time to improve. Now, we face Cagliari,” said Yildiz.

The 19-year-old seemed to have clear ideas when asked about his target for next year: “I just want to be healthy, and the rest will come by itself, I hope.”

Yildiz has four goals and four assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this season.

He extended his contract until 2029 last summer when he was also given Juventus’ No. 10, which previously belonged to Paul Pogba.
