Jakub Kiwior is ready to leave Arsenal in January, with Napoli having now made him a priority signing, according to Italian media.
The Serie A giants find themselves in a bit of an 'emergency' situation, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno has suffered an injury in training that is expected to keep him out for several weeks.
Napoli wanted to dip into the market for a defensive reinforcement in January even before the summer signing's injury, but the fact that he is now sidelined has increased the club's urgency.

Juventus veteran Danilo is named as one potential replacement, while PSG outcast Milan Skriniar, despite persistent links to the Bianconeri, also can't be ruled out as a target for Napoli.
Above all, however, the 2023 Scudetto winners would like to sign Arsenal squad player Jakub Kiwior.

Kiwior wants Napoli move
Napoli have been linked with the Pole for weeks amid his lack of regular playing time under Mikel Arteta this season. Kiwior only saw consistent minutes during Gabriel Magalhaes' recovery from injury, but the Brazilian has now taken back his place alongside William Saliba.
Kiwior dropped back down to the bench against Everton at the weekend and his prospects of minutes are slim unless there is a new injury to one of the Gunners' key defenders.

The former Spezia man is said to be keen on a return to Italy and there have been reports that his entourage is set to meet with Napoli to discuss a January move and agree on contract terms.
The above-mentioned outlet does not corroborate this but states that Kiwior is a 'dream signing' for Napoli, who had initially wanted to make a loan offer but could now 'change formula given the emergency.'
