Newcastle United player reaches ‘initial agreement’ to leave Magpies – Just details before exit announcement

Martin Dúbravka could leave Newcastle United and move to Saudi Arabia in the winter market.

That’s according to Saudi Arabia’s Arriyadiyah, and they state Al Shabab FC are showing interest in the Newcastle goalkeeper.

Al Shabab stopper Seung-gyu Kim suffered a serious knee injury in October and will be out of action for a long time.

This has seen the Middle East club look for options in the market and they have set their eyes on Dúbravka and Keylor Navas. The Costa Rican has been without a club since leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The report states Al Shabab’s officials are negotiating with both the 35-year-old and the former Real Madrid man and will sign one of them in January.

Arriyadiyah further state there’s a great chance for the Magpies goalkeeper to arrive in Riyadh as the two parties have reached an ‘initial agreement’. They add it’s now down to sorting out the details before announcing the Newcastle man’s arrival.

There’s no mention of what these details are, but it could be an agreement with Eddie Howe’s side as Dúbravka’s contract expires in 2025.

The Slovakia international has made two appearances for Newcastle United this season.
