Danny Rohl is taking training with Sheffield Wednesday today, despite having been linked with the vacant Southampton job, according to The Star.
Premier League side Southampton parted ways with Russell Martin after the Saints suffered a heavy 5-0 loss against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Now the Premier League outfit are looking to appoint a new manager and they have shortlisted multiple candidates for the process.
Rohl has been heavily linked with the role at Southampton and he has had a prior association with the club.
He was former Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl’s assistant manager for 24 games in 2018 in the Premier League.
The 35-year-old, however, today is present at Sheffield Wednesday training as the Owls are preparing to face Stoke City on Saturday.
Sheffield Wednesday are currently sitting in the top half of the Championship table and last season Rohl managed to keep them in the Championship after ex-Owls boss Xisco Munoz experienced a bad start to the campaign.
Alongside Rohl, West Brom boss Carlos Corberan is also on Saints’ radar, having caught the eye with his work at the Hawthorns.
