It’s going to be all change at Wolves in the coming weeks – and fans are ready for a new dawn at Molineux.
Wolves sacked Gary O’Neil on Sunday following the defeat to Ipswich Town the day before, and it was a decision that many felt was the right one.
Some fans felt the decision to sack O’Neil has come too late, and it remains to be seen if Wolves can preserve their Premier League status this season.
Vitor Pereira is coming in as the new Wolves manager, and his first job will be to shore up a horrendously fragile backline.
Wolves have conceded 40 goals in the Premier League in just 16 games so far, and the Portuguese has to find a way of addressing the issue.
And it’s possible he could turn to a former Premier League defender who’s now available for loan.

It’s been reported by the Daily Mail that Wolves are one of several clubs interested in Ben Godrey, who is potentially going to be leaving Serie A club Atalanta.
He’s been made available for a loan move, after struggling for opportunities following his move there in the summer.

It’s claimed as many as four Premier League clubs are showing interest at the moment, with Wolves and Nottingham Forest named.
Atalanta have been having a fantastic season and are currently top of Serie A. Gian Piero Gasperini has been playing with a back three that has been very settled, meaning Godfrey has made just four substitute appearances.
With Wolves crying out for a central defender, this could be one to watch.
Godfrey signing would make sense for Wolves and Pereira
So Wolves may be interested in taking Godfrey on loan – and it’d be no surprise if the club went full steam ahead with this particular move.
It can be difficult to do deals in January, but Godfrey is seemingly available and Wolves’ need for a new centre-back is very well documented.
Godfrey was a lot of Premier League experience and in theory, he would not take much time to settle and that is exactly what Wolves and the incoming Pereira need – players who are ready to make an impact now.
There is also that added lure with Godfrey – who earns around £74,000 per week – that he has played in a back three and a back four before.
Furthermore, Godfrey is fast. Alex Iwobi said a couple of years ago that he was the quickest player at Everton ahead of Anthony Gordon.
Currently, Wolves have two very slow centre-backs in Santiago Bueno and Craig Dawson, so a bit more pace in that backline would be most welcome.
Signing Godfrey would be a positive move by the club, but fans wouldn’t say no to another on top of the Englishman, with none of the currently available Wolves centre-backs covering themselves in any glory this season.
