Arsenal U17s won the Flamengo Adidas Cup in Brazil yesterday as they defeated the hosts in the final.
Here’s a look at each player in the successful Arsenal squad.
First year scholars
Alex Marciniak

A Wales youth international who can play as an attacking midfielder or out wide, Marciniak is a very skilful player.
Josh Ogunnaike
Ogunnaike is a left-back who is composed in possession and supports the attack well.
Ceadach O’Neill
A winger who played for Linfield’s senior team before joining Arsenal last summer, Northern Ireland U17 prospect O’Neill is very direct in his approach.
Louis Zecevic John
Capped by Serbia at youth level, Zecevic John can play out wide or as a forward, with his passing and dribbling of a very high standard.
U16s
Brando Bailey-Joseph
One of Arsenal’s best prospects, winger Bailey-Joseph was outstanding in Brazil. He has already played for Arsenal U19s.
Marley Frohock
An exciting forward, Frohock frequently gets into dangerous areas and provides a goal threat.
Maalik Hashi
Talented midfielder Hashi captained Arsenal at times during the tournament and is a fine passer.
Teshaun Murisa
Murisa, who has trained with the Arsenal first-team, is never rushed in possession and looks like a very good prospect.
Abraham Owusu-Gyasi
Also capable of playing further forwards, Owusu-Gyasi has been used at right-back and reads the game well.
Bowen Phillips
Signed from West Ham last season, Phillips is a creative midfielder with much flair.
Marli Salmon
A defender who relishes bringing the ball out from defence, Salmon can play at right-back or centre-back. He has been heavily involved for Arsenal U19s and U18s.
Saurap Sampang
A midfielder with an impressive passing range, Sampang featured for the U18s at right-back in pre-season.
Patrick Stachow
Recently called up by England at youth level, defender Stachow made some excellent challenges at centre-back as he captained Arsenal in the final.
Joshua Tahou
A hard-working and athletic player, Tahou can be deployed at left-back or further forwards on that flank.
Jack Talbot
Talented goalkeeper Talbot made a series of superb saves during the final. He has previously been involved with the U18s.
Callan Hamill
Currently contracted to St Johnstone, it is likely that right-back Hamill will officially join Arsenal next summer. He pushes forward to excellent effect.
Daniel McCarron
A defender who plays for Dungannon Swifts, McCarron is on trial at Arsenal, as reported by The Next Wave.
U15s
Angelinou Pedro
Pedro is a talented defender who reads the game well.
Kyran Thompson
Previously at West Ham’s academy, Thompson is a highly regarded winger who frequently poses a threat to opposition defences.
Jack Tomlin
The goalkeeper has impressive reflexes and will hope for further involvement with the older age groups.
