Arsenal and Manchester City have scouted Belgian defensive sensation Maxim De Cuyper amidst interest from Chelsea and Tottenham.
According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Arsenal and Manchester City could push to sign Maxim De Cuyper during the upcoming transfer window. Both clubs recently scouted the Belgian full-back as they look to reinforce their squads and bring an end to their struggles.
De Cuyper has been a part of the Club Brugge setup since 2008. He came up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their senior team back in 2020. The youngster had a two-year loan spell at KVC Westerlo following which he broke into the first team and has since gone from strength to strength.
Maxim De Cuyper is enjoying a stellar season. The 23-year-old left-back has featured in a total of 24 matches and has contributed towards five goals. His performances have not gone unnoticed as multiple top clubs have been keeping a close eye on him ahead of a potential move.

Arsenal and Manchester City are both interested in signing Maxim De Cuyper in January, and they have already started working towards a potential transfer. Both clubs had their scouts in the stands to watch him in action in Club Brugge’s 2-0 win over Genk on Sunday.
It was an important clash, and De Cuyper did put up an impressive performance. The Gunners as well as Manchester City are keen on adding more quality to the left flank, and they feel the 23-year-old could help them in the short as well as the long run.
