Tosin Adarabioyo has revealed Enzo Maresca is pushing the Chelsea squad "every single day" amid their impressive run of form.
The Blues are now just two points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool with Enzo Maresca's side recording their fifth consecutive league win with victory against Brentford at the weekend. It means Chelsea have won their past seven games in all competitions and the mood around the camp is certainly a happy one, according to Adarabioyo.
The defender moved to Stamford Bridge from Fulham for free in the summer and has made 13 appearances in his debut season with the Blues. The centre-back partnered Levi Colwill at the heart of defence against Brentford on Sunday and put in another decent display.
"We focus every single day in training and hope the results come with that," Adarabioyo told the official Chelsea website. "We take each game as it comes. The manager is pushing us every single day to make sure we are doing the right things and preparing for each game.
"We’ve got top players. When everyone puts in a shift – and against Brentford, we put in an amazing shift off the ball – it’s always good to see. Our next focus now is Shamrock Rovers."
With confidence building, Tosin also acknowledged the growing chemistry within the squad. He referenced Marc Cucurella’s opener against the Bees on Sunday, which is something the squad have worked on in training.
He said: "It’s something we have been working on. It was a great cross from Noni Madueke and great to see Marc Cucurella on the end of it. He was in a more advanced position and did a great job."
Adarabioyo could well be in line to make another start against Shamrock Rovers in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night. After that, the Blues travel to Everton at the weekend before facing Tosin's former club Fulham on Boxing Day.
